{possible} FREE Coke 2-liter bottles!!!

Photo from Dealseekingmom.com

There's a program called RecycleBank, where you earn points by recycling products and redeem points for rewards. The BEST part about this is that by simply registering you earn a 100 point bonus!!! They have coupons for $1 off any Coke product for 20 points each, so with your 100 points, you can order 5 coupons, which essentially become 5 FREE 2-liter bottles of Coke (when they go on sale, which is pretty often). I registered and ordered my coupons already, it was super easy!!! You want in???

1. Go [HERE] & sign up

2. Go back to the HomePage & login

3. Click on "Get Rewards" tab at top of page

4. Click on "non-alcoholic beverage" link to the left

5. Select $1 off Coke coupon, enter qty. (5) & add to cart

6. View Cart at top of page, submit order & view confirmation details!

That's it!! You'll be getting your coupons in about a week or so after ordering!!!

Thanks, Deal Seeking Mom!

FREE Band-Aids @ Target!!!!!

&& Yet ANOTHER coupon freebie!!! There's are $1 off any Band-Aid product coupons in the 1/3 Red Plum insert, use these at Target to get the 10 count Hello Kitty bandages FREE!!!!! Luckily, the coupon does not state "excludes trial sizes", so we shouldn't have problems redeeming them.

***As always, be sure to bring along the Target coupon policy with you in case you get a cashier that does not want to adjust the value of the coupon down to the price of the Band-Aids.

More easy coupon freebies!!!

SO, after the excitement of getting FREE lip balm & stayfree @ Rite Aid, I was looking through my coupons again and I noticed a couple more Easy coupon freebies:

There's a coupon in the Red Plum for $1 off any Reach dental Floss, use this coupon to get the original Floss FREE or almost free @ Walmart, I think I saw the price go up a little last time I saw them in the store, but not too much.

There's also a coupon in the Red Plum (1/3/10) for $1 off any Johnson's first aid brand product. The First Aid to go packs are $1 or a little less @ Target.

Rite Aid coupon policy:

A few of you have had problems being able to use coupons at Rite Aid (including me), I hate when employees don't know their own coupon policy, luckily, it's available in writing, and I always carry it with me, you should do the same! This has come in handy for me when cashiers don't want to let me use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale to get 2 for FREE.**Right click, & select "Print Picture..." for each section below**

Quick trips to Target & CVS!

I wanted to use the $5/20 CVS coupon that was going to expire the 2nd, so I went after doing laundry....I didn't post pictures since they were simple shopping trips.

First stop Target:

I was hoping to find Rayovac batteries since they would be FREE after my coupons, but they were all out! Next, I went over to see if the Swiss Miss hot chocolate was on sale....Sure enough, it was marked $1.02!! So, I got two boxes and headed over to the registers. Easy transaction:

2 boxes of Swiss Miss hot cocoa mix $2.04

-$ 0.05 (used reusable shopping tote)

- 2 Swiss Miss $1 Target printable coupons (no longer available)
Final Price = $0.00!!!
==========================================
Next stop, CVS. OK, so I was planning on buying a Contour meter & Coke for Jonathan since it would be FREE w/ the $5/20 coupon. I took my meter & 5 2-liter bottles of Coke up to the register....Here's where it got kinda crazy: She scanned my items & I handed her the $5/20 coupon which deducted the $5 from the soda, then I gave her the coupon for the Contour meter, and she said I had to buy both meters pictured to use the coupon, I knew that was wrong, but I didn't feel like arguing, so since she had already scanned the $5 coupon, I asked her to just void the meter out. It worked out better for me because this is how it went:
1 Contour Meter $14.99
5 2-liters of Coke $5.00
+ $0.10 each for CRV (50 cents)
-$5/20 CVS coupon
***(Voided the meter) -$14.99
SubTotal 50 cents
+tax 4 cents
=54 cents!!!!
Earned $1 Extra Buck for buying 3 Cokes
Earned $2 FREE Extra Bucks
Final Price: FREE + $2.46 Money Maker!!!!! I'm glad she didn't think about voiding the $5 coupon since my total was no longer over $20. I ended up with the better end of the deal!!! LOL......

My Hopes for 2010...

I have been using coupons for years...but, I used to do what any regular person does: Clip only the few little coupons off the stuff I normally use, and buy the stuff w/ the coupons without waiting for sales to combine with them. I begun SERIOUS couponing Last March 2009, so it's been a little under a year, but I've already been able to score many FREE items & I've saved lots of money along the way. I've also been able to give some of my stockpile to my family.

I was thinking about something my mom told me a few months ago....I always tell her about the deals I score, and all the FREE stuff I get, and one day she says: "With all the stuff you get FREE, you must have lots of money saved up, since you don't spend much". So, that's when it hit me...Why don't I have "lots" of money saved up since I get all these great deals??? Isn't that the whole point??? HMMMM...I know I've told people, "The money I save using coupons is paying for my Car every month". (which in a sense is true) but, I should also have a nice little stack of cash going on as well....I have reason to believe that I've been over-spending in other (not so frugal) areas in my life.

I've decided to challenge myself a little this new year!!!! I'm going to TRY my hardest to put money aside and see how much I have at the end of this year...This stash will have to be separate from any emergency fund I might have or any other spending cash...this would kinda have to be...well, UNTOUCHABLE!!!! I have not decided exactly how I'm going to determine how much goes into this "fund", but maybe something like:

-put away 1/2 of the amount I saved on deals
(example: If I get something FREE w/ a coupon that's worth $2, I'll put aside $1)

OR

- Put away $1 for every money saving deal I make in 2010.

Also, I'm going to start keeping track of the money I save using coupons & keep a coupon count, I thought It'd be fun to see the work in progress, and the Year-end results. You can see I added the element on my right sidebar under my greeting. So far this year, I have 0 coupons used and $0 in coupon savings....

Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be able to post a pic of my new money stash, kinda like the one pictured above...LOL....stay tuned!!!! && Wish Me Luck..I'll Def need it!!!
